Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does a Bluetooth phone connection let me operate the swing?
The manual pairs a Bluetooth Link for audio streaming and lists touch controls plus a remote for swing settings. It does not document a phone app for moving or adjusting the swing, so Bluetooth alone does not meet an app-control requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the bounce mode an automatic swing option?
No. The manual describes a parent-activated bounce function and explicitly says it is manual, not powered or automatic. The separate side-to-side swing uses the supplied AC adapter; the product also locks stationary.
Explore this need in the finder →What do the newborn and body-size claims actually cover?
The exact page lists use from 0 months and the manual sets a 20 lb ceiling for swing and bouncer modes, with earlier sitting/climbing stops. It gives no minimum weight. The listed 26.61 in width and 29.92 in length are static body dimensions only; the seat's motion needs additional space.
Explore this need in the finder →Three modes are not three kinds of powered motion
This source-based assessment covers the U.S. Ingenuity InLighten Bounce & Sway Swing in Pebble Shore, SKU 16851-092, and the exact page-linked manual with the same model code on its cover. It is not based on ownership, assembly, an infant trial, measured motion or price shopping. The official page describes three arrangements: side-to-side powered swing, parent-activated bounce and a lockable stationary seat. The manual explicitly says the bounce function is manual, not powered or automatic. Those modes should not be collapsed into one generic “3-in-1” motion plan.
The powered swing is outlet-side; Bluetooth is for audio
The manufacturer lists six swing speeds and three timer choices. The manual gives 15-, 20- and 30-minute swing timers, with 15 minutes as the default, and six speeds; the sound and music playback shuts off separately after about 15 minutes. The manual also describes capacitive controls on the unit and a six-button remote that duplicates those functions. This provides local control without requiring a phone, but does not establish hands-free or voice-assistant operation.
The exact listing says the AC adapter is included, and the manual says to use only the supplied adapter, check it for damage and not use an extension cord. That is different from a battery-powered swing. The remote—not the swing motor—needs disposable batteries. Both the exact manual and the SKU Details table list two AAA/LR03 cells not included; marketing-description copy elsewhere says one AAA. The manual is the operating instruction, so plan for two and verify the item label and included remote with the exact package.
Bluetooth here is an audio input. The manual describes pairing an Ingenuity Bluetooth Link so a device can stream music through the seat; it does not document an app that changes the swing's direction or speed. A Bluetooth symbol should not be treated as evidence of phone-app control. The unit's touch panel and remote supply the documented setting controls.
Manual bounce is a separate caregiver-driven arrangement
The bounce mode begins when a caregiver presses the backrest to produce a bounce. It is not a motorized swing setting, even though it belongs to the same seat. The lockable stationary arrangement is different again. For a shortlist requiring manual rocking or bouncing, the manual bounce is relevant; for powered-swing movement, the side-to-side swing is the supported plan. An outlet requirement applies to the powered swing, not to the caregiver-driven bounce. The adapter's presence does not make that manual movement electrically powered.
Follow the separate stop rules and acknowledge the unknown minimum size
The exact manual says to stop swing use when the baby can sit upright unaided, tries to climb out (approximately nine months), or reaches 20 lb, whichever comes first. For bouncer mode, stop when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb. The page's age range is 0 to 9 months, but neither that range nor a higher capacity in another product mode should override those triggers. I found no minimum child-weight figure in the inspected product page or manual, so this review does not invent a newborn size threshold.
The manual requires the restraint to fit snugly, close supervision, use on the floor rather than a raised or soft surface, and transfer to a firm, flat sleep surface if the baby falls asleep. It says not to leave the child unattended or move the seat with the child in it. Its listed age range is not a sleep endorsement. Check fit and position against the instructions for the actual model and the baby's development.
Care and body dimensions
The product page identifies the seat pad as removable and machine washable. The exact manual also gives instructions for the headrest: remove it, fasten the restraint and hook-and-loop patches, wash cold on a gentle cycle without bleach, and tumble-dry on low. It separately says to wipe the toy bar, toys and metal frame. This is a textile-specific care plan, not permission to launder the canopy or the assembled seat.
Kids2 lists the assembled body at 27.56 inches high, 26.61 inches wide and 29.92 inches long. The finder treats the listed length as a static front-to-back body dimension; it does not measure the moving seat's clearance envelope, cord route, walkway, or doorway access. Compared with the narrower Sun Valley Canopy Portable Swing, this body is wider and slightly deeper by the current page dimensions, but it adds an AC-powered side-to-side swing, Bluetooth audio, local and remote controls, and a separate manual bounce. It is a different routine rather than an interchangeable version.
Verify the exact setup before buying or reusing
Check the label for 16851-092, the supplied adapter, the remote and its battery compartment, the seat lock and the restraint; compare the parts with the exact package listing. The image is a manufacturer's product presentation and cannot prove that an individual offer contains every accessory. Review the exact manual for assembly and stop-use guidance, and inspect the frame, harness and adapter for damage. A targeted exact-term CPSC index screen did not surface an exact model notice in the returned results; it is not a full recall history or an individual-unit clearance. No product trial, price, stock status, seller condition or customer experience is asserted here.
