A useful fit for

A large-body outlet-side swing for a household that wants the listed three-direction seat motion, local controls and washable seat textiles, with enough room beyond its 42.13 by 31.89 in static body.

The main tradeoff

The very broad base needs substantial floor area. A compatible 5 V/1 A adapter is separate, the C cell runs vibration only, and the manual's 6 lb minimum and developmental stops govern even when the page says 0–9 months.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does a C battery make Braden's swing portable without an outlet?

No. The C/LR14 cell powers the separate vibration unit, while swing motion, music and lights use the supplied USB lead with a separate 5 V/1 A USB-A toy transformer. Ingenuity says that adapter is not included, and the manual says not to use an extension cord.

What should I check before treating Braden as a newborn swing?

The exact page lists 0–9 months, but the 10875-MEES manual says not below 6 lb or above 20 lb, and to stop earlier if the child sits up unaided or attempts to climb out. Keep it fully reclined until at least four months and independent head control; use the restraint, on the floor, under close supervision, never for sleep.

How much floor space and what laundry care does Braden require?

The product page lists a 42.13 in width by 31.89 in front-to-back body; add space for the seat's claimed three-direction motion and access. The manual permits cold gentle machine washing without bleach for the removed pad and headrest with low-heat tumble drying, while the toy bar, toys and frame are wiped separately.

Assessment of the Braden 10875 configuration

This review covers the U.S. Ingenuity InLighten Soothing Swing in the Braden finish, model 10875, using its exact manufacturer page and linked 10875-MEES manual. It is a document-based assessment: I have not assembled or used the swing, watched it move, or tried it with a child. The maker's motion, quietness, comfort and cooling descriptions are claims, not independently observed results.

Three listed directions, with a substantial base

The product page describes a seat that turns through 180 degrees and swings in three directions, with six speed settings. It also lists two recline positions, a light-up mobile with two plush toys, music and nature sounds, and optional ConnectMe smartphone media. The precise configuration matters: the page's ConnectMe description is about personalized media, not documented phone adjustment of swing motion or sound settings. The evidence therefore supports local controls, but not the sort of swing-setting app control some shoppers may mean.

The six-speed control, timer, lights, mobile and sound panel add options; they do not show that the swing is quieter in a particular home or that a baby will settle. The manual provides 30-, 45- and 60-minute timer selections and says a 90-minute automatic shutoff is used when no timer is selected. Nature sounds/music shut off after about 20 minutes. Those are control settings rather than suggested unattended-use periods: the manual still requires close supervision throughout use.

Separate the swing's USB power from vibration

The included USB lead powers swing motion, music and lights, but it needs a separate 5 V/1 A (5 W) USB-A transformer for toys. The product page says the wall adapter is not included. A single C/LR14 cell powers only the separate vibration unit; it does not make this a battery-operated swing. Before choosing a location, verify the compatible transformer and its condition, read the manual's warning against extension cords, and route the lead so it cannot become a hazard. The manual identifies the supplied lead as 183 cm.

The swing frame folds and has wheels according to the listing, which can help when moving an empty unit between rooms. Do not confuse that with carrying the seat: the manual says not to move or lift the product with a child inside it. The product page gives a 42.13-inch body width and 31.89-inch front-to-back dimension. This is a large static footprint, and it leaves out the space the seat needs to move in three directions, access around the restraint and a safe cord route.

Read the size and posture limits before treating it as newborn-ready

The page lists 0–9 months and up to 20 lb. The exact manual adds an important lower limit: do not use below 6 lb. It also says to stop once the child can sit up unaided, tries to climb out, or exceeds 20 lb; the approximate age is not a substitute for those conditions. Keep the swing fully reclined until the baby is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help. Use the restraint, place it on the floor only, remain nearby and awake, and never use it as a sleep surface. If the child falls asleep, move them to an appropriate firm, flat sleep surface.

The listing calls the fabric breathable mesh and names a removable seat pad and headrest. Those are feature descriptions, not proof that a baby will stay cooler. The manual allows the removed pad and headrest to be machine-washed cold on a gentle cycle without bleach and tumble-dried on low. It assigns separate wipe-clean instructions to the frame, toy bar and toys; do not treat the electrical parts as washable textiles.

What to verify on an exact offer

Check the underside label for model 10875, compare the manual cover with 10875-MEES, and confirm the USB lead, transformer arrangement, restraint, seat textiles, mobile and frame components against the instructions. A product image cannot prove that a used or open-box offer includes every part or that its fasteners and folding locks are sound. Inspect the battery compartment, cable and adapter for damage, and check current manufacturer instructions and recall information for the specific unit before use. The limited exact-term CPSC screen noted in this review is not a complete recall history or serial-number clearance.
