Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is the owl insert the newborn support required for swing use?
The product page calls it a comfort insert that doubles as a tummy-time mat; the manual's 0–12 month tummy-time statement describes a separate mode. It is not identified as a required newborn insert for swing use. The swing itself has a 6 lb minimum, 20 lb maximum and full-recline/head-control rule.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the included USB cord make the Nally battery powered?
No. The exact manual requires a separate 5 V/1 A USB-A toy transformer, and the product page says the wall adapter is not included. The cord is 183 cm; do not use an extension cord or infer app control from the on-unit touch panel.
Explore this need in the finder →Will it fit through my room and what can go in the wash?
The page lists a 35.83 in width by 34.25 in length for the assembled body, before motion clearance. The manual permits machine washing the seat pad and bolster but assigns them different drying instructions; wipe the toys and frame.

This document-based review covers the Ingenuity InLighten Soothing Swing, Nally the Owl, U.S. model 13097 and SKU 13097-000. The exact product listing and official 13097-NA manual form the evidence base. I have not owned or assembled the swing, watched it move, or tried it with a child. Feature descriptions below are manufacturer claims rather than hands-on findings or a prediction about how a baby will respond.
Three powered swing directions and a separate tummy-time use
The product page says the seat rotates 180 degrees and swings in three directions; the powered swing has five speed settings and three timer options. The local touch controls also offer 20 melodies, white noise and nature sounds. A two-toy mobile includes a light feature. These are useful distinctions from a basic single-direction swing, but more settings do not establish quietness, reliability or a soothing effect. The exact sources do not document a phone app or voice assistant, so do not assume those controls are available.
The included USB cord powers the swing, sound and light functions. The manual requires a 5 V / 1 A (5 W) USB-A wall adapter, sold separately, and says not to use extension cords. It identifies the cord as 183 cm. That is outlet-side operation, not battery backup. Plan a safe cord route and inspect both the lead and adapter for damage. The page’s handle and wheels may help reposition the empty frame, but the manual says not to move or lift the swing with a child inside it.
The page describes a plush owl-shaped support as an insert that can also be used for supervised tummy time. The manual identifies a separate tummy-time mode for children 0–12 months, but this is not a swing-use weight range or permission to leave a child unattended. The sources do not label the owl piece as a required newborn support insert. Treat that distinction carefully: an accessory described as cozy support is not automatically a medically appropriate fit aid.
Follow the swing’s size and recline limits
The product page lists ages 0–9 months and a maximum of 20 lb; the manual adds a 6 lb minimum. It says to stop if the child sits up unaided or attempts to climb out, even before the maximum weight or approximate age. It also requires full recline until the baby is at least four months old and able to hold their head up without help. Keep the restraint snug, supervise continuously, use the product only on the floor and never treat it as a sleep surface. If the baby falls asleep, move them to an appropriate flat sleep space.
The swing page lists two recline positions. That does not weaken the manual’s full-recline instruction for a young infant. The 0–12 month tummy-time claim applies to the separate floor activity, not to swing weight limits or reclined-seat use. Follow the instructions for the exact function and for the child’s developmental stage.
Large floor footprint despite the moving handle
The manufacturer lists an assembled body measuring 38.58 in high, 35.83 in wide and 34.25 in long. That is a large static footprint compared with several compact swings in this library. The narrow-frame phrase in the product description is relative marketing copy; it does not replace the listed dimensions. Leave extra space for the seat’s three-direction movement, caregiver access, toys and safe cable placement. The product record describes a foldable frame and storage, but the published assembled size is not its folded size, and the source does not establish that it will fit in a particular trunk or closet.
Compare Nally with the SimpleComfort Chambray model only after checking room dimensions: both are multi-direction, adapter-powered swings, but SimpleComfort’s listed body is 31.53 in wide while Nally is 35.83 in. Conversely, Nally’s cited product page lists the owl insert, lighted mobile and sound choices; those differences may matter to a household, but this assessment does not rank one model above another.
Clean the pad and bolster by their separate instructions
The manual permits cold gentle machine washing of the seat pad without bleach, followed by low-heat tumble drying. It gives the bolster its own cold gentle wash direction but calls for flat air drying. Toys and frame are wipe-clean items, not machine-washable parts. Keep the motor, touch panel and electrical cord out of water. Remove or reinstall components only as the manual describes and check all fasteners and the restraint before each use.
Exact-model and package checks
Confirm the unit is SKU 13097-000 and the manual is 13097-NA. Check that the USB lead, adapter compatibility, restraint, owl piece, toy mobile and all frame parts match the offer; the image is not a complete package inventory. Inspect the fold locks, wheels and cord and measure the actual use area with movement clearance. A limited exact-name/model search of the returned CPSC index results did not surface a matching notice, but it does not prove a complete recall history or clear an individual unit. The official page currently shows its own offer state separately; this review does not claim price, availability or seller condition.
