Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
What changes when Pemberton is converted to its rocker?
The swing seat detaches and sits on its own rocker base. The detached seat rocks manually; its manual says to stop when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb. That is not the swing's powered mode, and the manual does not establish from-birth rocker fit or a minimum weight.

No. The supplied USB lead runs the powered swing, music and lights through a separate 5 V/1 A USB-A toy transformer that is not included. The C/LR14 cell runs vibration only. Do not use an extension cord; caregiver rocking is the separate unplugged movement mode.

The exact page lists use from 0 to 9 months and up to 20 lb, while the manual requires the fully reclined swing position until at least four months plus independent head control, and earlier stops for sitting unaided or climbing. It does not give a minimum weight. Body width/depth are 42.13 by 31.89 inches before motion clearance; the seat pad, headrest and bolster have different drying instructions.

This review covers the U.S. Ingenuity InLighten 2-in-1 Baby Swing & Rocker in Pemberton, model 12321. I assessed the exact Ingenuity product page, its linked 12321-MEES instructions, and the matching manufacturer image. I have not assembled or used the unit, observed its motion or tried it with a child. Claims about comfort, quietness and cooling remain the manufacturer's claims.
One seat, two different movement plans
In swing mode, the page describes a 180-degree seat turn, three swing directions and six automatic speeds, with two recline positions. The page also lists local music, nature sounds, lights and a moving toy mobile. The manual identifies 30-, 45- and 60-minute timer settings; if no timer setting is selected, it describes a 90-minute automatic shutoff. This timer does not replace the manual's close-supervision requirement.
The second arrangement is not another powered swing setting. The seat detaches from its swing structure and attaches to its own rocker base for caregiver-driven rocking. That distinction matters in the finder and in daily use: the swing needs its electrical supply, whereas rocking motion itself is manual. The exact manual gives the rocker its own stop condition—when a baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb, whichever comes first. It separately tells owners to stop swing use if the baby can sit upright unaided, attempts to climb out, or reaches 20 lb. Do not transfer one mode's use advice to the other.
USB-powered movement is not battery swing operation
The supplied USB cable powers swing movement, music and lights through a compatible 5 V/1 A (5 W) USB-A toy transformer. The product page says the adapter is not included, and the manual says not to use an extension cord. One C/LR14 cell powers the separate vibration unit only; it does not power the swing motor. The same vibration feature may be used with either arrangement, but a cell-powered vibration accessory does not turn the manually rocked seat into a motorized rocker.
The foldable frame may aid storage or moving the empty assembly. The manual prohibits lifting or moving the product with a child in it. Before purchasing a used or incomplete offer, check that the swing frame, detached rocker base, restraint, seat, USB lead, head support, bolster, mobile and fasteners are actually present and match the instructions. The image alone cannot confirm a package's contents.
Newborn language needs a mode-by-mode check
The product page lists a 0–9 month range and describes a removable head support and bolster as keeping newborns snug. For the powered swing, the manual requires the seat to remain fully reclined until the infant is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help. It also says to stay nearby, use the restraint, use the product only on the floor, and never allow sleep in it. If a baby falls asleep, move them to an appropriate firm, flat sleep space. The exact manual does not state a minimum weight for either mode; do not borrow the 6 lb minimum from another Ingenuity model. It also does not establish a separate from-birth rocker plan, so the page's general age range should not be treated as that mode's readiness test.
In rocker mode, the upright position is reserved for a child with enough upper-body control to sit without tipping forward. The rocker ends when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb. These directions do not mean that any particular baby is ready at a given age or weight.
Measure the broad body, then allow operating space
The listing gives assembled dimensions of 40.94 inches high, 42.13 inches wide and 31.89 inches front-to-back. That is a wide static body, not an operating-clearance measurement. Keep extra space for the page's claimed multi-direction movement, caregiver access, the detached base when converting modes and safe cable placement. The product page describes cool mesh, but that does not establish a measured temperature difference.
Care involves several different drying rules
The manufacturer says the seat pad, headrest and bolster are removable and machine-washable. The manual narrows that: wash cold on a gentle cycle without bleach; tumble-dry the seat pad on low, but air-dry the headrest and bolster flat. The toy bar and toys are wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap, and the metal frame is wiped separately. Do not assume that every part can go in the machine or dryer.
Exact model and limits check
Match the product label to model 12321 and the manual cover to 12321-MEES. Confirm the correct frame/rocker parts, check the restraint and locks, and verify that the separately required adapter suits the manual's transformer specification. Inspect electrical parts and any used textiles for damage. Check current manufacturer and CPSC information for the exact unit; a limited exact-name/model search is not a complete recall history or serial clearance.
