Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the cinnamon glider run from a wall outlet or from batteries?
Joie includes an AC adapter and also specifies four D alkaline cells for the glider; those cells are not included and are not rechargeable by the adapter. A separate one-D-cell vibration feature belongs to rocker mode and is not the swing's battery-power requirement.

The powered glider is listed from birth to 25 lb and 30 in, stopping earlier if the child tries to climb out. The detached manual rocker has its own lower limit: stop when the child starts trying to sit up, reaches 20 lb or 27 in, whichever comes first. A 25 lb setting only describes the glider plan.
Explore this need in the finder →Does cinnamon meet a requirement to machine-wash the seat pad?
The exact product page calls out machine-washable infant insert and head support, but the manual sends the seat pad to its own care tag and does not confirm machine washing of the complete seat pad. Do not infer a whole-seat wash method from the insert; verify the current tag. This assessment therefore does not mark the seat-textile requirement as documented.
Explore this need in the finder →What the W1604BB is—and what this assessment covers
This is a document-based assessment of Joie's U.S. cinnamon™ 2-in-1 glider and rocker, model W1604BB, not a hands-on test. The manufacturer presents it as a powered glider with a seat that can lift off for use as a separate manual rocker. That distinction matters: the two modes have different child limits and different movement sources. The official product page's image shows the Fern-family finish (the linked law-tag choices also include Walnut); it depicts the empty product, not a complete parts inventory. The page and Joie's support article identify the model, but the rendered page does not publish a distinct finish SKU, so compare the W1604BB label rather than assuming a color code is a model number.
Multi-motion is the central feature; the rocker is a different mode
Joie describes side-to-side sway, front-to-back gliding and a combined movement. The control panel has separate motion choices, and the seat can be rotated among four positions on the glider base. There are three recline positions, music and nature sounds, and a vibration feature on the rocker. These are useful distinctions from a simple single-direction swing, but the page does not publish a numeric swing-speed count. Do not assume that the separate rocker inherits powered movement: detached, it rocks through caregiver or infant movement, and its stop foot can make it stationary.
The whole glider measures 27.5 inches long by 21.25 inches wide by 30.75 inches high and weighs 16.3 pounds. Joie lists a smaller 27.25 × 21.25 × 24-inch detached rocker. These are static product dimensions, not the clear floor zone needed while the seat moves. No folded dimension is established by the product page. Measure the intended floor location, allow room for the base and moving seat, and keep it out of circulation paths. The removable rocker handle is for moving that seat; the manual says not to move or lift the glider base with a child seated.
Power choices have a battery-count catch
Joie includes an AC adapter and also documents battery operation for the glider. The manual specifies four disposable D alkaline cells, which are not included; the adapter does not recharge them. If your routine depends on batteries, count the four cells for swing movement rather than confusing them with the separate one-D-cell vibration feature on the detached rocker. When the adapter is in use, the manual says the cells switch off. Use only the supplied adapter, protect its cord from pinch points and keep it out of reach.
On-unit controls let an adult change the gliding pattern, speed and sounds. The reviewed sources do not establish phone-app, voice-assistant or remote control. Also verify that your room can accommodate an outlet cord safely if you plan to plug in; the swing should remain on the floor and away from wet areas.
Use the limit for the mode you actually set up
Joie lists glider use from birth to 25 pounds and 30 inches. The manual says to stop sooner if the child attempts to climb out; its approximate nine-month reference is not permission to use the glider after a weight, height or developmental stop. The detached rocker is listed from birth to 20 pounds and 27 inches. Its earlier stop is when the child begins trying to sit up, whichever comes first. A 25-pound swing limit cannot be applied to the rocker.
For young infants, the manual requires the fully reclined position until the baby is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help. Use the restraint snugly, keep the product on the floor and stay close and attentive. Joie says the product is not safe for sleep or unsupervised use; if a baby falls asleep, move them to a firm, flat sleep surface. Neither newborn support nor a maximum weight replaces the posture and stop-use rules.
Care, drawbacks and a sensible pre-purchase check
The product page specifically says that the infant insert and head support can go in the washing machine. It does not say the entire seat pad can be machine-washed. The U.S. manual sends the seat pad, insert and head support to their individual care tags and warns against tumble drying; the frame can be spot-cleaned with soapy water. If a washable full seat cover is essential, do not count this model as confirmed until the W1604BB tag spells out the seat-pad method. The product page also does not establish a fold size, app control or exact speed count.
Before choosing an offer, compare its base label and manual with W1604BB, confirm the chosen finish and included adapter, and verify which support pieces are present. Plan for four D cells if you want battery swing operation; the rocker vibration has its own battery requirement. Measure the full body and leave motion clearance. Check current recall notices for a specific used unit and manufacture date; this assessment is not serial-number clearance.
