UPPAbaby Mira 2-in-1 Bouncer and Seat (model 1801) review

A manually moving U.S. infant bouncer with a separate toddler-chair configuration. Assessed for the Charlie / Sand Mélange SKU 1801-MIR-NA-CHR; the Stella finish SKU 1801-MIR-NA-STL is a manufacturer-listed finish variant. Its 29 lb chair limit does not apply to infant-bouncer use.

A useful fit for

A household seeking an unplugged manual bouncer with a separate later toddler-chair arrangement, removable machine-washable textiles and fold-flat storage, and willing to follow the 8 lb minimum and mode-specific stop limits.

The main tradeoff

It does not provide automatic swing motion. Infant-bouncer use ends when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches the selected position limit—15.5 lb in the lowest recline and 20 lb in the middle or highest. The separate 29 lb chair mode is only for a child who can walk and sit independently, in the highest position and without the restraint.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is the Mira 1801 an automatic swing, and does it need power?

No. UPPAbaby describes manual movement, and the manual gives no motorized swing operation. No adapter or batteries are required; the child's movement produces the bounce. It will not provide continuous powered motion or app adjustment.

What are the infant-bouncer weight and position limits?

The North American manual allows use from birth for an infant over 8 lb. Use the lowest position for a newborn without established head and neck control. The lowest position is limited to 15.5 lb; the highest and middle positions are limited to 20 lb. Stop at sit-up attempts or the selected position limit, whichever comes first.

Does 29 lb apply to the infant bouncer?

No. The 29 lb limit belongs only to the separate chair mode, for a child who can walk and sit independently. The manual specifies the highest recline and no restraint in that mode; the infant bouncer stops at sit-up attempts or its lower position-specific limit.

Which parts can be machine-washed?

The manual gives a cold gentle machine wash with mild detergent and low tumble drying for fabric, with no bleach, ironing or dry cleaning. Frame and wood are wipe-clean. The review treats this as a fabric-care fact, not a rule for the toy bar or every component.

Which Mira this assessment covers

This assessment covers the U.S. Mira 2-in-1 Bouncer and Seat, model 1801-MIR-NA, anchored to the Charlie / Sand Mélange SKU 1801-MIR-NA-CHR. UPPAbaby also lists Stella / Grey Mélange, SKU 1801-MIR-NA-STL, with the same model-level operating claims. The photo shows Charlie only. This is a document-based review, not hands-on use or a product test.

The 1801 is distinct from the separately numbered Mira V2 1802-MIR-NA. The former is a 2-in-1 bouncer/chair; the V2 is a 3-in-1 with different newborn specifications and package. The 1801’s broad 8–29 lb range combines different use stages, not one infant-bouncer limit.

A manual bouncer rather than a self-moving swing

The 1801 responds to a child’s movement; it has no motorized swing cycle, AC adapter, battery mode or app control in the reviewed documentation. Choose it for manual, no-plug bouncing—not for automatic motion. Its three recline positions, parent-facing adjustment, padded harness and breathable mesh are documented; lock the chosen position before use. The manual warns that a baby’s activity can move the seat, so place it on the floor, not a raised surface.

Keep infant-bouncer limits separate from chair use

The North American manual allows infant-bouncer use from birth for a baby over 8 lb. For a newborn without established head and neck control, use the lowest position. That position is limited to 15.5 lb; the highest and middle positions are limited to 20 lb. Stop using the bouncer if the child starts trying to sit up or reaches the weight limit for the selected position, whichever comes first. These position and stop rules matter more than the page’s approximate age span.

Always use the restraint, stay close and watch the infant, and use the seat on the floor only. It is not a sleep surface or safe for unsupervised use. If a baby falls asleep, move them promptly to a firm, flat sleep surface. Never carry the bouncer with a child inside.

Chair mode is separate: it is for a child who can walk and sit independently, up to 29 lb, in the highest recline and without the restraint system. That figure does not extend infant-bouncer use or combine with newborn support.

Room fit, folding and moving the empty seat

UPPAbaby lists an open body of 28.5 inches long by 16.3 wide by 22.6 high and an 8 lb product weight. The frame folds flat and has an integrated handle and storage bag, but the reviewed 1801 page gives no folded dimensions. Do not substitute V2 measurements. Published body size is only a first room sketch: leave clearance for movement and check the actual storage location. Carry only the folded, empty seat.

Fabric care and package checks

The product page lists the Cozy Seat Liner and storage bag as included; toy-bar accessories are sold separately. The manual specifies cold, gentle machine washing with mild detergent and low tumble drying for fabric, with no bleach, ironing or dry cleaning. Wipe frame and wood with a damp cloth or non-corrosive cleaner. For a used or open-box offer, check the exact 1801 label, harness, recline lock, liner, bag and any toy bar. The three-year limited warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original buyer with authorized-retailer proof.

How it differs from the V2 and from powered swings

Compared with the Mira V2, the 1801 starts at 8 lb rather than 6 lb and is labeled 2-in-1 rather than 3-in-1. Both have separate toddler-chair limits, not a 29 lb infant capacity. The V2 listing includes a Wonder Wheel toy bar; the 1801 lists toy-bar accessories as sold separately. Each version needs its own manual. Against a powered swing such as the Mamaroo, the practical difference is that the Mira does not create motion automatically or offer app adjustment.

Current offer and exact-model caution

On October 29, 2026, the official Charlie page showed Out of Stock while the Stella page showed Add to Cart. Availability may change, so verify the finish-specific seller offer; “Mira” alone may refer to a different generation or package. The targeted CPSC search did not establish clearance for individual 1801 units. For a used seat, match its model and serial/date label against current CPSC and UPPAbaby notices, and keep its own instructions. The 1801 is a fold-flat manual bouncer with a later chair stage—not an automatic swing; infant use ends at the sit-up attempt or the selected recline’s weight limit (15.5 lb lowest, 20 lb middle/highest), and 29 lb applies only to the child-ready chair.
