Model-specific buying decisions
FPM68 and Earlier-Model Fit
Earlier models · exact identity and operating-plan checks
Including earlier models is a scope choice, not a promise that an old swing is still sold or complete. The finder applies that choice to the documented product set and keeps each model’s power, motion, limit and care plan separate. This guide now covers three observed 2018 Starlight Revolve support numbers—FPM64, FPM68 and FFH99. Their exact support pages, images and linked instruction files identify separate model records; overlapping family instructions do not prove an interchangeable finish, retail SKU or complete package. FFH99 adds an especially important distinction: Smart Connect was advertised, but current app support is not established.
What “include earlier models” changes
Selecting “Yes” includes earlier reviewed models alongside the current-scope choices; FPM68 and FPM64 are separate 2018 support numbers with a shared manual family, different exact support images, an AC-only swing plan, conditional newborn positioning and a 25 lb ceiling. Selecting “Yes” is a broad lifecycle filter: FPM64, FPM68 and FFH99 are separate 2018 support numbers with distinct exact images and model-specific instructions. Their reviewed evidence supports an AC-only swing plan, conditional newborn positioning and a 25 lb ceiling, but shared family history does not establish a shared package or current offer. FFH99’s Smart Connect app was originally advertised; Mattel’s 2022 retirement notices conflict in legacy wording and date, so present app operation is not established. Selecting “Yes” includes earlier reviewed models alongside current-scope choices; DFG42 is a separate 2015 Pink Shadow support record with two alternative powered-swing directions, AC or four-D-cell power and a detached manual rocker; no current retail offer is established. M5584 is another earlier swing in the full result: its exact linked manual documents four D-cell operation and a seat tube that selects side-to-side cradle motion or front-to-back swing motion; these directions are alternatives, not simultaneous. Mattel’s exact C4635 record lists a five-speed, four-C-cell Open Top Take-Along Swing with a 25 lb limit and a 2006 discontinuation; its shared C4635/C4636 manual does not identify a swing axis or prove any current offer. The filter returns the full actual candidate set, not just these examples. Do not use one thumbnail to identify another model. Washable textiles plus newborn support, with earlier models included
FPM68 also matches the earlier washable/newborn scenario: its exact page lists a newborn head support and washable pad, and the FPM68-linked family manual requires full recline until both four months and independent head control, with a 25 lb ceiling; that manual family also names FPM64. FFH99 also matches this earlier washable/newborn scenario: its exact model page describes a newborn head support and washable pad, while its own linked instructions require full recline until both four months and independent head control and set a 25 lb ceiling. DFG42 also matches this earlier washable/newborn scenario through a different operation: its exact manual permits rocker use from birth until independent sitting and requires full recline for swing use until both four months and head control; it machine-washes the pad and body support. M5584 also matches this earlier washable/newborn task: its exact page lists use from birth and its technical description names an infant head-support insert, while the linked manual permits machine washing the removed pad; check that the insert, restraint and pad are present on a used unit. Mattel’s C4635 record says use from birth until attempted climbing out; its linked manual permits only the removable pad to be machine washed, sets a 25 lb maximum and supplies no minimum child weight or separate insert rule. These conditions do not permit sleep. The FFH99 and DFG42 Smart Connect app histories do not establish current phone control. Other reviewed matches have their own operating modes and fabric-care directions; this exact-condition finder link preserves every qualifying model rather than narrowing to the family example. Powered swing, outlet power and controls on the product
FPM68 adds an outlet-powered earlier result to this same movement-and-local-control request: its exact family manual requires the AC adapter for swing operation and shows on-unit power, speed, sound/volume and light controls; current Smart Connect operation is not established. FFH99 adds another earlier outlet-powered result to this same movement-and-local-control request: its model-specific instructions require the supplied adapter and show on-unit power, speed, sound/volume and star-light controls. DFG42 adds another exact earlier outlet-powered, local-control result: its manual documents the original 6 V adapter, six on-unit speeds and two seat-selected swing directions, while current app support is not established. FPM68 and FPM64 remain separate model records, and each old unit needs its own exact adapter and cable check. This combination suits an outlet routine, not a battery-only one. C4635 is excluded from the outlet-required earlier set: its linked C4635pr-0720 manual requires four C-cell batteries and does not establish an AC plan. Check C4635’s battery-only power evidence. Battery-required swing: do not count FPM68
FPM68 does not match this same battery-required movement and local-control request: its FPM68-linked manual documents only an AC-adapter-powered swing and no battery swing plan. FFH99 and FPM68 both do not match the same battery-required movement and local-control request: their separate exact instructions each document only an AC-adapter-powered swing and no battery swing plan. DFG42 matches this battery-required movement and local-control request: its exact manual documents four D (LR20) cells for swing motion and on-unit speed controls; the cells are not included, and the battery plan is separate from the original AC adapter. M5584 adds another earlier battery-powered swing to this set: its exact manual requires four D (LR20) alkaline cells and shows a seat tube that selects side-to-side or front-to-back motion, but it documents no outlet plan. C4635 is a separate four-C-cell plan: its exact linked manual requires four C (LR14) alkaline cells, sets five on-unit speeds and does not establish outlet operation; do not transfer M5584’s D-cell supply or alternatives. A different power source on another model cannot be borrowed for FPM68 or FFH99. In the battery set, the exact CCL87 instructions require four D cells and do not establish an adapter alternative; Pink Petals CDG12 documents a separate four-D-cell swing plan as well as its original adapter. At 25 lb, the documented swing ceiling is just met
At a 25 lb minimum-capacity request, the exact earlier-model matches in this outlet-powered, on-unit-control, washable, newborn-support and multi-direction combination include FPM64, FPM68, FFH99 and DFG42. Each has its own supported 25 lb swing ceiling; FPM64, FPM68 and FFH99 additionally require full recline until at least four months and independent head control, while DFG42 has its own position rule and attempted-climb stop. The same-condition filter also includes X7340, DKD85 and Pink Petals CDG12, plus the reviewed MamaRoo 2001 plan; their exact review and manual notes keep each power, posture and care condition distinct. At 26 lb, none of these eight swing plans meets the same combination because each listed swing maximum is 25 lb. The threshold compares one documented operating mode, not readiness or safe duration, and does not override posture or developmental stop rules. At 26 lb, this exact combination has no reviewed match
Raising only the maximum-weight threshold to 26 lb removes all eight earlier-model swing matches in this exact outlet-powered, multi-direction, on-unit-control, washable and newborn-support set: FPM64, FPM68, FFH99, DFG42, X7340, DKD85, Pink Petals CDG12 and MamaRoo 2001 each have a documented 25 lb swing ceiling. The reviewed library therefore has no match under these fixed answers at 26 lb; this does not claim that no other product exists. The threshold is a mode-specific maximum, not age approval or a reason to continue use until a particular weight. Ended Smart Connect support is not a current app match
When phone-app control is essential and earlier models are included, only the two reviewed MamaRoo models—1046 and 2001-MRO-NA—match this library filter; FPM64, FPM68 and DKD85 are excluded because current Smart Connect support is not established. FFH99 is also excluded for the same app-support reason: its exact technical notice gives a past planned end date, while the standard page has generic Smart Cycle wording and a different legacy date; neither supports current app control. FPM68 and FPM64 have similar retired-app limitations. Their documented local buttons are a different capability, not a current phone arrangement. An individual MamaRoo’s app/phone compatibility should still be checked. V4356 is a separate discontinued earlier swing
Mattel’s exact U.S. record identifies the Adorable Animals Fold n’ Stow Swing V4356 and reports a 2011 release and discontinuation. The technical page lists six speed settings, while the linked instructions require four D (LR20) alkaline cells, set a 25 lb ceiling and say to stop sooner if the child is active and appears able to climb out. This is an earlier-model assessment, not a current offer or confirmation that a particular used unit is complete. Two V4356 instruction sheets linked by Mattel disagree on the assembly screw specification (#6 × 1.125-inch versus #8 × 3-cm); the support page does not say which sheet belongs with an individual unit or that the hardware is interchangeable. Match the label and use the manual supplied for that exact unit; do not substitute fasteners. Review the exact V4356 identity, manual conflict and operating limits · Find with earlier models included.
V4356: from-birth listing and washable pad, only with earlier models included
Mattel lists V4356 for use from birth, and its exact technical page identifies a machine-washable seat pad; the manual says to wash the pad only, cold on a gentle cycle, and to follow the separate drying directions. The instructions specify no minimum child weight or separate newborn insert rule, so neither is inferred. A 25 lb limit is not a promise of use to that point: stop sooner if the child is active and appears able to climb out, secure the restraint, supervise, and do not use the swing for sleep. V4356 is excluded when the same washable-textile and newborn-support needs are filtered with earlier models set to “No,” and included only when earlier models are set to “Yes.” The two linked V4356 manuals also disagree on screw size; verify the exact supplied sheet and hardware on a used unit. Review V4356’s birth listing, pad care and manual caveat · Find washable textiles and newborn support with earlier models excluded · Find the same needs with earlier models included.
V4356 uses battery power; do not assume an outlet plan
The V4356 manual specifies four D (LR20) alkaline batteries for the powered swing, not included, and the exact technical page lists six speeds. The reviewed sources do not establish AC-adapter operation, a swing axis, or an interchangeable power supply. A battery requirement and local adjustment are not evidence of multi-axis movement, and another Fisher-Price model’s adapter cannot be borrowed as a V4356 plan. Check the model label and the manual supplied with the unit; the two directly linked V4356 sheets disagree on assembly screw size. Newborn support and washable textiles when earlier models are excluded
V4356 is excluded from the same washable-textile and newborn-support condition when earlier models are set to “No”; Mattel reports its discontinuation in 2011. C1384 is also excluded from this current-only response because its exact support record reports a 2007 discontinuation. A current-scope example in this same result is the Baby Delight Highland BD06500, whose assessed manual-bouncer plan has its own position and developmental limits. The V4356’s from-birth listing and washable removable pad appear only when the earlier-model scope is switched on; they do not override the manual’s restraint, supervision, no-sleep and climb-out instructions. Review Highland’s position-specific limits · Review why V4356 needs earlier-model scope · Review C1384's separate earlier-model status · Find washable textiles and newborn support with earlier models excluded.
Do not count V4356 for an outlet-only power requirement
V4356 is excluded from an outlet-powered earlier swing set: its exact linked manual requires four D (LR20) alkaline cells and does not establish an AC-adapter plan. A different Fisher-Price model’s adapter specification cannot fill this gap. FPM68 is a separate earlier record whose own linked family manual requires AC adapter power; verify its exact label and adapter rather than transferring that evidence to V4356. Review FPM68’s exact adapter and local controls · Review V4356’s battery-only evidence and limits · Find powered swing, outlet power and local controls with earlier models included.
An unspecified swing axis is not multi-axis evidence
V4356 does not join this 25 lb outlet-powered, multi-axis result: its exact manual requires four D cells and its sources do not establish outlet power or a swing axis. At 26 lb, the reviewed library has no match under these exact outlet-powered, multi-axis, local-control, newborn-support and washable-textile answers; V4356 is outside even at 25 lb because its manual documents battery power and its axis remains unspecified. X7340 is one of the documented results at 25 lb in the exact outlet/multi-axis condition, but its plan is distinct from V4356. Local buttons do not establish phone-app support
V4356 is not counted for earlier phone-app control: its exact technical page and manuals document local controls but do not establish a phone-app arrangement. The three 79616 manuals document a five-setting product-mounted dial and do not establish an app-control arrangement either. N8142's exact manual shows buttons on the swing but the reviewed model page and instructions do not establish phone-app control, so its local interface does not meet this app requirement. The exact 79618 pages and manuals likewise document an on-unit eight-setting dial but no phone-app arrangement, so local controls do not meet an app-essential choice. Earlier Fisher-Price models need exact identifiers and manuals
Mattel's exact U.S. support record identifies the My Little Snugabug Cradle 'n Swing BMM94 and reports a 2014 release; its discontinued field is blank, and no current offer or retail SKU is established. The linked BMM94 manuals support the model-specific operation and care described in its review. Mattel’s exact U.S. support record identifies the Take-Along Swing 79616 as released and discontinued in 2002; its three linked manuals conflict on 17 lb versus 25 lb, so its maximum is not assigned to a particular unit. This is an earlier-model reference, not a claim that a present seller has a complete, safe or available unit. Review BMM94's exact manual, image and operating limits · Review the exact 79616 identity, conflicting manuals and limits · Find with reviewed earlier models included.
For BMM94, Mattel lists use from birth, but the exact manual requires full recline until both four months of age and unaided head control, and the removable pad alone is machine washable. The 25 lb maximum does not override an earlier climb-out stop. The Take-Along Swing 79616 also matches the washable-textile, newborn-support and earlier-model filters, but the source does not establish a minimum weight or separate newborn insert. Its three linked sheets disagree on capacity; do not infer a unit-specific weight limit or newborn fit. Check BMM94's birth, wash and stop conditions · Check 79616's exact support wording and unresolved unit limits · Find the same washable-textile, newborn-support and earlier-model choices.
BMM94's exact manuals document an included 6 V adapter for wall-outlet swing operation and local controls; the seat tube selects side-to-side or front-to-back travel. These directions are alternatives, not simultaneous motion. Review BMM94's outlet and motion evidence · Find earlier powered swings with outlet power and on-unit controls.
The BMM94 manual also permits four D (LR20) cells for swing operation, but those batteries are not included; this is an alternative to the adapter, not a separate rocker mode. Review the exact BMM94 battery alternative · Find earlier powered swings with battery operation and local controls.
With battery power, local controls, newborn support, washable textiles and earlier models held fixed, BMM94's powered swing plan meets the 25 lb minimum-capacity threshold; 79616 is excluded because its three linked manuals conflict on 17 lb and 25 lb and do not identify a unit-specific limit. Stop sooner if an active child attempts to climb out; the ceiling is not a use-duration recommendation. Review BMM94's 25 lb ceiling and developmental stop · Review why 79616 is not assigned either manual limit · Find the same battery, control, newborn, care, capacity and earlier-model conditions.
With outlet power, on-unit controls, newborn support, washable textiles and earlier models held fixed, BMM94 is one of nine reviewed plans that meet a 25 lb minimum-capacity threshold while documenting selectable side-to-side or front-to-back swing travel. The 25 lb ceiling does not override the manual's earlier stop conditions. The 79616 Take-Along Swing does not join this set: its linked sheets document four C cells rather than an outlet plan, do not identify selectable travel directions, and conflict on the maximum weight without assigning a limit to a unit. The distinct H0794 swing also does not satisfy the outlet/multi-axis combination: its three exact sheets specify four C cells and do not establish selectable swing directions; five speeds are not evidence of multiple axes. The matching BMM94 swing plans are capped at 25 lb as well. The 79616 manuals do not establish an outlet plan or selectable swing axis, and their conflicting 17/25 lb maxima cannot establish a unit-specific 26 lb match. H0794 does not supply an outlet or direction-selectable plan either: its own manual trio supports four C cells but leaves the travel direction unspecified. H3673 and H0794 are separate earlier swings
Mattel identifies H3673 as an earlier U.S. Open Top Take-Along Swing released in 2004 and discontinued in 2006, with its own exact support page and linked manual set. H3673 is distinct from H0794: its support page links H0794a-0720 and H0794b-0720, whose covers name H3673 and H0794 (and J1569 on one sheet); that source bridge does not make the models or packages interchangeable. H0794 is another separate earlier swing: Mattel reports a 2005 release and 2007 discontinuation, and its own linked instructions specify four C cells, five local speeds and a 25 lb ceiling. H3673's linked sheets also specify four C cells, five speeds and a 25 lb maximum; both exact support pages list use from birth with an earlier active/climb-out stop. Use the correct restraint, supervise on the floor, and do not use either swing for sleep. Neither model has published body or folded dimensions, a minimum child weight, a current offer or a verified individual-unit condition. Earlier newborn and pad-care evidence stays model-specific
H0794 meets the from-birth and machine-washable-textile flags on its model-specific support and manual evidence, but those flags do not establish a minimum weight or a separate newborn insert. Mattel's page lists use from birth; its exact sheets require restraint and supervision and tell caregivers to remove the pad and wash it separately in cold water on the gentle cycle, without bleach, followed by a separate low-heat tumble dry. H3673 also matches this earlier washable/newborn task: its exact page lists use from birth, and its own linked H0794a/b sheets name H3673 and specify pad care, restraint, supervision and a 25 lb maximum with an earlier climb-out stop. Neither model's record confirms the minimum child weight or exact insert contents of a used unit. These are not sleep recommendations; do not wash or immerse either frame, and follow the instructions matching the label. H3673's exact support page separately lists four C cells and its directly linked H0794a/b sheets likewise show five local speeds and push-start. The other supported plans in this exact set also fall below 26 lb. 79618 is also excluded at 26 lb because its exact-model maximum is unresolved; neither conflicting manual establishes a 26 lb match. Keep these models distinct from other older Fisher-Price swings: H3673 is a separate battery-powered Take-Along model with an axis-unspecified manual set, while BMM94 and X4400 each have their own selectable-direction and adapter/battery evidence. Shared brand, era or upholstery does not make manuals, restraint details, capacities or power accessories interchangeable.
Mattel identifies X4400 as the My Little Lamb Cradle Swing Platinum Edition (BRU), released in 2012 and discontinued in 2015. Its exact manual documents two selectable swing directions, an AC-adapter or four-D-cell plan, local controls, washable seat supports and a 25 lb ceiling; no current offer or used-unit package is established. Mattel identifies N8142 as the Dwell Studio Cradle Swing, released in 2009 and discontinued in 2010; its exact manual supports four D cells, selectable travel direction and a 25 lb maximum. Mattel identifies BBD08 as the Forest Fun Swing 'n Seat (Target), released in 2012; its exact manual documents a four-C-cell swing and a separate one-D-cell stationary vibrating-seat mode, each with a 25 lb maximum. No present BBD08 offer or retail SKU is established. Mattel reports 2002–2004 for 79618; its three linked sheets agree on a four-C-cell/eight-setting battery swing and washable pad, but disagree 17/25 lb with no unit bridge, so no maximum is used. K7923 qualifies for a documented-from-birth and washable-textile comparison, but its linked instructions require full recline until at least four months and independent head control; no minimum weight is stated. Mattel also labels X4400 for use from birth; its exact manual names the pad, head support and body support for cold machine washing with mild detergent and no bleach, followed by low-heat tumble drying. The same manual separately requires restraint, supervision and no upright position before unaided head control; do not borrow K7923’s four-month instruction for X4400. Mattel's N8142 record also labels use from birth; its N8142pr-0720 manual permits machine washing only the detached pad, using cold water and mild detergent without bleach and low-heat tumble drying; restraint, adult supervision and its active/climb-out stop remain separate requirements. For 79618, Mattel's birth-use line and its three exact-model manuals support a birth-label plus washable-pad assessment, but no minimum weight or newborn insert is established. At a 25 lb minimum, K7923’s and X4400’s four-D-cell swing plans and N8142's four-D-cell plan meet the powered-motion, on-unit-control, from-birth and washable-textile conditions; each has its own instructions and each must stop sooner at its own active/climb-out condition. X4400’s exact instructions specify four D cells not included in the original configuration. N8142's exact manual also requires four D cells not included and caps its swing at 25 lb. 79618 is not a 25 lb match: its exact-model sheets conflict between 17 lb and 25 lb without a unit bridge, so no capacity ceiling is assigned. K7923 and X4400 each have a documented original AC-adapter plan with on-unit controls; confirm the correct adapter and its condition on any used example. Their model instructions and adapters are not interchangeable. N8142 is not an outlet-powered match: the exact model-linked manual requires four D cells, and the reviewed N8142 sources do not establish an adapter arrangement. 79618 is not an outlet-powered match either: its exact linked sheets specify four C cells and do not establish a mains-adapter arrangement. Check K7923’s adapter details · Check X4400’s adapter specification · Check N8142's battery-only evidence boundary · Check 79618’s exact battery-only evidence · Find under the same powered-swing, outlet, local-control and earlier-model choices.
K7923 and X4400 each document a separate four-D-cell plan with on-unit controls; the cells are not included in the original configuration. Because each also has a documented AC-adapter plan, battery operation does not prove that an adapter was absent from the original package or is absent from a used one; neither fact establishes app or voice control. N8142's exact manual separately requires four D cells, not included, and documents controls on the swing itself; its reviewed source set does not establish an AC plan. BBD08 adds a distinct earlier battery-swing match: its four C cells power the swing and sounds, while one separate D cell powers vibration only in stationary seat mode, and its documented controls are on the unit. 79618 also has a distinct battery-swing/on-unit-control plan: its linked manuals specify four C cells, eight speed settings and a caregiver push-start, but do not publish a mains plan or movement direction. At a 25 lb threshold, both K7923’s and X4400’s outlet-powered plans meet the multi-axis, on-unit-control, newborn-support and washable-textile choices together; each manual describes selecting one direction at a time. Their exact posture and stop-use rules differ, so compare the model-specific review rather than transferring one swing’s directions to another.
