Set up an infant swing or bouncer from its exact manual
Assembly and use instructions differ by model, so this checklist is a prompt to read the current manual—not a substitute for it. Use every warning, age/weight limit and positioning diagram supplied with the exact unit.
BBD08’s 25 lb limit belongs to both documented modes
Under the same powered-swing, battery, on-unit-control and earlier-model choices, BBD08 enters at a 25 lb minimum-capacity threshold and leaves when only that threshold rises to 26 lb. BBD08 meets a 25 lb minimum-capacity screen through its documented powered swing plan; the exact support record also lists 25 lb for stationary infant-seat mode, but the swing's active/climb-out stop can end use sooner. 79618 is not included at 25 lb because its three exact-model manuals conflict between 17 lb and 25 lb without a unit bridge, so its capacity remains unknown. Review BBD08’s two-mode capacity and stop rules · Review 79618’s unresolved 17 lb/25 lb manual conflict · Find under the same swing, battery, local-control, 25 lb and earlier-model choices. At 26 lb, BBD08 is excluded because both documented operating modes list a 25 lb maximum; its separate stationary vibration mode does not raise the swing limit. 79618 is also excluded at 26 lb because its exact-model maximum is unresolved; no conflicting manual establishes a 26 lb match. The two remaining results are the DuetSoothe and DuetConnect LX powered-swing plans; their 30 lb swing ceilings do not transfer to the separate 18 lb rocker or bouncer modes. Check the DuetSoothe swing’s 30 lb limit and separate rocker plan · Check the DuetConnect LX swing’s 30 lb limit and separate bouncer plan · Keep the swing, battery, local-control and earlier-model choices fixed at 26 lb. Neither threshold establishes a minimum infant size, from-birth support, developmental readiness or safe use duration; follow each mode's exact earlier stop.
Pristine’s listed capacity is a ceiling
The exact Pristine page lists 5.5–25 lb and the qualified 1AM-family manual adds a climb-out stop; thresholds of 20, 21 or 25 lb meet the matcher’s 25 lb ceiling, while 26 lb exceeds it. Neither the upper weight nor the page’s newborn-support language establishes a starting age, readiness or use duration. Review the exact weight and stop-rule evidence · Compare the current-only set at 20 lb · Compare at 21 lb · Compare at 25 lb · Compare at 26 lb.
Pristine remains within the 25 lb limit
Graco Pristine 2233074 remains in the current-only result at 20 lb, 21 lb and 25 lb because its assessed swing plan is listed through 25 lb; none of these thresholds authorizes use at that weight, and the 1AM-family instructions also stop use at climb-out. Review the model’s upper limit and manual caveat · Find at 20 lb with earlier models excluded · Find at 21 lb with the same scope · Find at the 25 lb listed maximum.
A 26 lb request exceeds Pristine’s listed maximum
At a 26 lb minimum-capacity threshold, Pristine 2233074 is out because Graco lists a 25 lb maximum; a threshold match at or below 25 is not an age, readiness or use-duration statement. Review the exact listed range and climb-out stop · Compare the DuetSoothe’s distinct 30 lb swing mode · Find current-only configurations at 26 lb.
X4400 meets the documented 25 lb ceiling, not 26 lb
For this exact earlier-model scenario—powered swing, selectable multi-axis direction, wall-outlet power, on-unit controls, documented from-birth support and machine-washable seat supports—Mattel’s linked X4400 manual sets a 25 lb maximum. At a 25 lb minimum-capacity threshold, X4400 remains in the reviewed result for this full earlier-model combination; the exact manual caps its swing at 25 lb. Raising only that threshold to 26 lb removes it. At a 26 lb minimum-capacity threshold, the reviewed library has no match for this full earlier-model combination; X4400's manual sets its swing ceiling at 25 lb. The manual’s active/climb-out stop may end use sooner; a capacity match is not permission or a readiness claim. Mattel does not state a minimum child weight, and from-birth support does not permit upright use before unaided head control. Both results describe this reviewed library only. N8142 does not meet this outlet-powered version at either threshold: its exact instructions require four D cells, and the reviewed model records establish no adapter-powered plan. 79618 also fails this combined request: its exact sources document four C cells, not an adapter or selectable swing direction, and its weight limit remains unresolved. Review X4400’s exact capacity, infant-position and use-stop conditions · Review N8142's battery-only source boundary and weight limit · Review 79618’s battery, movement and weight-evidence limits · Find with these same movement, outlet, controls, newborn, care, 25 lb and earlier-model choices · Keep every other choice fixed and compare at 26 lb.
Before the first use
- Confirm the model label and check the manufacturer's and CPSC's current recall information.
- Assemble on a stable floor with all approved parts; inspect latches, fasteners and the support frame.
- Use only the supplied or manufacturer-approved adapter, insert, seat fabric and accessories.
- Check the manual's newborn position, insert use, harness setup and minimum/maximum limits.
During use
Use the restraint as directed, stay nearby and supervise the baby, and place the product on the floor if that is what its manual requires. Keep it away from cords, windows, soft surfaces, raised furniture and water. Do not add pillows, blankets or extra padding to change the fit.
The Mamaroo 2001-MRO-NA manual, for example, requires a fully reclined seat until the infant is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help. Its 25 lb limit is not the only stopping rule: the manual says to stop if the baby tries to climb out, whichever happens first. Those details belong to that model and should not be copied onto a different swing.
Awake use is not sleep use
A swing or bouncer should not be treated as an overnight or unattended sleep surface. The Mamaroo manual explicitly says it is not designed, marketed or safe for sleep or unsupervised use and directs caregivers to move a sleeping baby to a firm, flat sleep surface. CPSC also provides safe-sleep information for cribs and infant products; follow public safety guidance and the exact product instructions.
Stop and re-check
Discontinue use when the earliest manufacturer stop condition is reached, when a restraint or structure is damaged, or when a recall applies. Do not carry a child in a removable seat unless the exact product is expressly designed for that use. Re-read the manual after a repair, replacement part or change in configuration.
The BN108 page supplies a removable newborn inlay, but its current instructions give no minimum infant weight and require a snug restraint, floor-only placement, awake supervision, no sleep, and stopping at attempted sitting or 20 lb, whichever comes first. The maker presents the seat for newborn use; the missing lower weight figure remains an unknown, not an assumed minimum. A bundle does not change those limits. Highland from-birth support still has position-specific stops
For Highland BD06500's manual-bouncer plan, “from birth” is subordinate to the exact-position 20/15 lb and sit-up stops, floor-only placement, restraint, awake supervision and no-sleep instructions. Its Sage and Mocha product pages recommend 0–6 months, while each links a family manual that prints BD05760/BD05761/BD05740 rather than the current BD06500/BD06860 identifiers; check the exact unit's supplied instructions and warnings. The family manual says the highest and middle positions stop at 20 lb, the lowest at 15 lb, or sooner if the baby begins trying to sit up. For Highland BD06500's manual-bouncer plan, “from birth” is subordinate to the exact-position 20/15 lb and sit-up stops, floor-only placement, restraint, awake supervision and no-sleep instructions.
The Raylan page labels the swing for 0–9 months, while the 12189-ES manual specifies a 6–20 lb swing range and requires floor-only, restrained, awake, supervised use with developmental stop rules; the age label is not permission to use below 6 lb or beyond an earlier stop. Read Raylan’s source bridge and infant-use limits · Find with the same required newborn-support choice.
The exact Kids2 page lists Cuddle Lamb 12184 / SKU 12184-000 for 0–9 months, but its page-linked manual sets a 6 lb minimum, a 20 lb maximum and a full-recline rule until the child is at least four months old and can hold up the head without help. Use the floor-only, restrained, awake-supervision swing plan and stop sooner if the child can sit unaided or attempts to climb out; age labeling does not override those instructions. Review the exact newborn, posture and stop rules · Find with the same required newborn-support choice.
The Cassia SW128 page and manual support use from birth and the package includes a newborn inlay, but the manual states a 20 lb maximum without a minimum-weight figure. Use the floor-only, restrained, closely supervised awake swing; stop if the infant attempts to climb out (about 9 months), and never use it for sleep or unsupervised use. Review Cassia's exact newborn, restraint and stop rules · Find with the same required newborn-support choice.
The BD05490 Aura manual says to use from birth, with the bouncer's correct position and restraint, on the floor and under close awake supervision; use ends at the first sit-up attempt or 20 lb, with the lowest position limited to 15 lb. Its rocker upright position separately requires enough upper-body control to sit without tipping, so the general from-birth statement is not permission to use that posture before it is supported. Neither arrangement is for sleep. Check the Aura's newborn, restraint and posture limits · Find with the same required newborn-support choice.
Both exact Wimberly 12322-000 and Twinkle Tails 12412 pages describe newborn use, but their manuals set a 6 lb minimum and 20 lb swing ceiling. Twinkle additionally requires full recline until at least four months plus independent head control; Wimberly's stationary-seat stop is separate from its swing limit. Find under the same newborn-support condition.
Two current InLighten models illustrate why an age label is not the whole answer. The Braden 10875 manual sets a 6 lb minimum; the Pemberton 12321 manual states no minimum weight, though its product page describes newborn support and lists 0–9 months. Both swing modes must remain fully reclined until at least four months and independent head control, and stop sooner for unaided sitting, climbing or the 20 lb maximum. Pemberton's rocker is a separate manual mode without a documented from-birth plan. Find with the same documented newborn-support choice.
Finder answer: manufacturer support from birth is essential
The current library's documented from-birth plans include the powered swing modes on Graco DuetConnect LX 2160534 and DuetSoothe 1852655; Ingenuity Ray 12584-000, Wynn 16697-000, Swell 17825-091, Sun Valley Canopy Teal 16905-000, InLighten Bounce & Sway Pebble Shore 16851-092, Comfort 2 Go Fanciful Forest 10845-000, Flora 12202-000 and Endless Blooms 17300-008; Graco JumpStart 2212122 in infant-bouncer mode; MamaRoo 2001-MRO-NA; Mira V2 in infant-bouncer mode; SimpleComfort Piano Playtime 17509-000 in its swing and separate rocker arrangements; and newly checked Raylan 11791-000, Swing ’n Go Chambray 17826-050, Van 13096-000 and Wesley 17104-000 in their swing plans. The exact Sun Valley manual says 6–20 lb and requires full recline until the child is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help; the separate page listing does not describe its motion direction. Pebble Shore's page lists age 0–9 months, but its exact manual gives no minimum weight and requires its own sit-up, climb-out and 20 lb stop rules for the swing; the parent-activated bounce has a separate attempted-sitting/20 lb stop. The reviewed Ingenuity swing manuals establish distinct lower and upper limits, but models differ in controls, timers and components; Piano Playtime's minimum swing weight is not specified in the inspected page or manual. Its exact manual requires the powered swing to remain fully reclined until the child is at least four months old and can hold their head up without help; the swing stops at unaided sitting, attempted climbing or 20 lb, whichever comes first. Its separate rocker stops when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb. Follow each exact restraint, floor-placement and close-supervision rule; none is for sleep. The separately depicted/removed head supports are not automatically a documented newborn insert; Flora's reviewed page does not claim one. The Duet swing manuals also require full recline until at least four months and head control; their separate manual bouncer/rocker plans remain unknown for from-birth use. JumpStart starts in frame position 2 until four months, then position 1 only from four months, and its infant-bouncer mode stops at sit-up attempts or 20 lb. MamaRoo has its own fully reclined newborn rule; Mira V2 starts at 6 lb with its insert and has a 15.5 lb limit in its lowest recline. SmartSense 2184836 and Slim Spaces 2071982 each include infant support and list a 5.5 lb lower weight, but their accessed sources do not expressly establish from-birth use. The Soothe ’n Sway Bluetooth 2203029 manual also lacks an express from-birth claim, while Soothe ’n Sway LX 2140066 lists a 5.5 lb minimum but does not establish that the swing or detached bouncer is intended from birth; none of these four is counted on weight alone.
The current added options also include Cozy Spot 16968-000, Bella Teddy 11023-000, Cozy Kingdom 60194-000, SimpleComfort Chambray 16927-000 and Nally the Owl 13097-000. Each page lists 0–9 months, but the exact manuals set a 6 lb minimum, 20 lb maximum, full-recline rule until at least four months plus head control, and earlier sitting/climbing stops. Nally’s owl piece is described for comfort/tummy time, not established as a newborn swing-support insert.
The four added current swing plans also have 0–9 month page claims and 20 lb maxima with full-recline guidance until at least four months plus independent head control and earlier developmental stops. Their manuals specify a 6 lb minimum for Chambray, Van and Wesley; Raylan's manual does not state a minimum weight, so do not borrow the other models' 6 lb floor. The Raylan page lists newborn head support, but that accessory does not waive its exact swing posture, harness, sitting/climbing stop, floor-use and supervision instructions. Compare the exact Raylan, Swing ’n Go Chambray, Van and Wesley assessments before treating the listing's age range as infant eligibility.

Three additional exact SimpleComfort plans are documented for from-birth positioning: Parker 16926-000, Cassidy 11624-000 and Everston 11149-000. The exact Spruce 12058-000 and Swell 12579-000 pages also describe from-birth swing use, but their separate manuals set a 6 lb minimum and 20 lb swing ceiling. Spruce's swing stays fully reclined until at least four months plus independent head control; its stationary-seat trying-to-sit stop is separate. The exact Dakota 13099-000 and Remy 13101-000 pages describe their swing plans for use from birth, but the matching 13099-NA and 13101-NA manuals require at least 6 lb, full recline until at least four months plus independent head control, and stopping by 20 lb or sooner for unaided sitting or climbing attempts. Baby Delight's BD05300 Alpine Deluxe manual and BD05680 Heirloom Aspen manual both support use from birth but stop when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb, whichever comes first. Both require floor-only placement, a snug three-point restraint, close awake supervision and no sleep use. BD05300's lowest recline has its own 15 lb maximum; Aspen's exact manual gives no separate weight ceiling for either of its two positions. Find under the same documented-from-birth condition.

Neither manual turns “from birth” into sleep permission: use the exact harness, floor setup, awake supervision and other warnings. Kori BN108HCR and the VB019KORI package match manual movement plus documented newborn support at the 20 lb threshold. Neither appears at the 21 lb threshold because the BN108 manual says use only below 20 lb and stop at attempted sitting or 20 lb, whichever comes first. Highland's 20 lb maximum belongs to two reclines
At a 20 lb minimum mode-limit threshold, Highland BD06500 qualifies through its highest or middle bouncer position; at 21 lb it does not, because the linked family manual stops those positions at 20 lb and the lowest at 15 lb. Every position also stops earlier when the baby starts trying to sit up, so a threshold does not choose a recline or establish readiness. Their manuals set distinct developmental stop rules; Raylan's minimum swing weight is not stated, while the other three list 6 lb. At 26 lb, DuetSoothe and DuetConnect swing modes, Bluetooth’s separate toddler rocker, JumpStart's 40 lb child's-chair plan and Mira V2's 29 lb toddler-chair plan meet the threshold; neither chair limit applies to infant-bouncer use, and the Duet seats and LX bouncer remain limited to 18 lb.
At 30 lb, the two Graco Duet swing plans, Bluetooth’s toddler rocker and JumpStart's later child's-chair plan meet the numeric threshold; at 31 lb, Bluetooth and JumpStart remain through separate 40 lb plans. At 40 lb, only Bluetooth’s toddler-rocker mode and JumpStart’s child's-chair mode meet this library threshold; at 41 lb neither remains. The swing and infant-seat limits still stop much earlier, and the toddler rocker’s upper-body and independent-entry instructions matter.

At an 18 lb minimum for one manual-motion plan, the DuetConnect bouncer, DuetSoothe rocker, Soothe My Way rocker, LX detached bouncer, Bluetooth infant/toddler rocker, Mira V2 infant bouncer, JumpStart bouncer/jumper plans, Piano Playtime's separate rocker, Pebble Shore's caregiver-activated manual bounce and Raylan's separately caregiver-rocked rocker match. At 19 lb, the three 18 lb detached Graco bouncers/rockers drop out, while Bluetooth remains through its 20 lb infant rocker and separate 40 lb toddler rocker, and Mira V2, JumpStart, Pebble Shore, Piano Playtime and Raylan remain through their own documented plans. Raylan's rocker stops when the child starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb; it is not the powered swing plan. Pebble Shore's bounce is not powered, and it stops at attempted sitting or 20 lb. Piano Playtime's rocker stops when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb; these maximums are specific to an arrangement and do not establish newborn support or override posture and earlier stop rules.

The Mira V2 bouncer is limited to 20 lb and may stop sooner when the child attempts to sit up; its 29 lb chair mode is only for a child who can walk and sit independently, in the highest recline and without the restraint. JumpStart's infant bouncer stops at 20 lb or sit-up attempts, its jumper stops at 25 lb and when the child walks unassisted, and its 40 lb chair requires the child to climb in and out without help. DuetSoothe and DuetConnect LX each list a 30 lb powered-swing maximum with a separate 18 lb rocker/bouncer plan; Soothe My Way has its own 25 lb swing and 18 lb rocker limits. Bluetooth 2203029 separates a 25 lb powered infant swing, a 20 lb manual infant rocker and a later 40 lb toddler rocker; LX 2140066 separates its 25 lb/30 in swing from its 18 lb/27 in bouncer. MamaRoo is listed to 25 lb with a climb-out stop.
At a 40 lb minimum with manual movement, only Bluetooth 2203029’s toddler-rocker plan matches; the manual requires sufficient upper-body control and use of the harness until independent entry and exit. JumpStart’s 40 lb child's-chair plan is stationary, not a manual rocking/bouncing plan. At 41 lb, no reviewed current plan meets the threshold; that does not establish that no higher-capacity product exists elsewhere. Requiring powered-swing motion as well as a 40 lb limit also produces no match: Bluetooth’s powered plan tops out at 25 lb, and JumpStart’s 40 lb plan is a stationary chair rather than a powered swing.

At 21 lb, neither Dakota’s swing nor either Remy operating plan meets the threshold: the Dakota swing, Remy swing and Remy detached rocker each stop at 20 lb.
Remy 13101-000 adds a separate manual rocker to the 18 and 19 lb comparison: its caregiver-rocked plan has a 20 lb maximum, distinct from its powered swing. Manual movement, newborn support and one-mode capacity
For manual movement with from-birth support and one operating mode rated to at least 20 lb, JumpStart's infant-bouncer plan, Mira V2's infant-bouncer plan, Piano Playtime's separate rocker and Pebble Shore's parent-activated manual bounce match. Pebble Shore's bounce is not a motorized swing; it stops at attempted sitting or 20 lb, whereas the separate swing has its own 20 lb, unaided-sitting and climb-out stops. JumpStart's bouncer stops at 20 lb or sit-up attempts, and its later 25 lb jumper and 40 lb chair are different setups that do not satisfy the newborn-bouncer combination. Piano Playtime's manual rocker stops when the baby starts trying to sit up or reaches 20 lb; its powered swing is a separate plan with a full-recline/head-control rule.

Remy 13101-000 is not a manual-newborn match merely because its swing page describes from-birth use: the detached rocker is a separate caregiver-driven mode, and the manual does not separately establish it as a from-birth arrangement. What “include earlier models” adds
Selecting “Yes” retains current references and adds individually reviewed earlier models, including the discontinued 2018 FPM64, X7340, Pink Petals CDG12, HBD71, four separate Fisher-Price 3-in-1 models and the distinct 2016 DKD85. Mattel reports a 2013 release for X7340 and links two exact X7340 manual revisions; both document selectable side-to-side or front-to-back directions, four D cells or an included original AC adapter, and a 25 lb swing ceiling. The exact CDG12pr-0821 instructions document a Pink Petals swing with six speeds, a removable washable pad, selectable side-to-side/front-to-back movement, an original adapter or four D cells, and a 25 lb limit. Its full-recline/head-control rule is stricter than a simple “from birth” label: keep it fully reclined until at least four months and independent head control. HBD71 is a distinct four-C-cell swing with unspecified direction. CCL87, CBM08, BMF34 and BMF35 each report a 2014 release, require four D cells for swing movement and separately list a 25 lb swing/infant-seat ceiling and 40 lb manual-rocker ceiling. BMF35 also documents an AC adapter; the other three 3-in-1 records do not establish AC operation. DKD85 has two selectable powered directions, AC or four-D-cell swing plans and a separate manual-rocker arrangement; Mattel's exact technical page says Smart Connect app support would end in 2022, so current app compatibility is not established. These dates and support records do not prove a present offer; keep exact identity, posture rules and mode limits separate. FPM64 is a distinct discontinued 2018 model: Mattel describes a blend of head-to-toe, circular and swinging motion, but documents only AC-adapter operation and no independent direction-setting or measured clearance. Its 25 lb swing ceiling and fully-reclined newborn rule are in the FPM64 family manual; Smart Connect support has ended, so app operation is not a supported assumption. Mode-specific limits do not replace developmental stops
Twelve models M5584, HBD71, CCL87, CBM08, BMF34, BMF35, X7340, DKD85, Pink Petals CDG12, DFG42, X2535 and G3048 meet a 25 lb battery-swing threshold in the selected newborn, washable-pad and on-unit-control plan. At a 26 lb threshold, none of those same twelve swing plans remains in the exact newborn, washable-pad, on-unit-control and battery combination; this describes the reviewed plans, not every product that may exist. M5584’s manual requires four D/LR20 alkaline cells and caps its single powered swing plan at 25 lb; the seat tube selects side-to-side or front-to-back orientation, and the active/climb-out stop can apply earlier. DFG42’s manual documents four D cells, local speed controls and a 25 lb swing maximum; its pad and body support are washable, but its swing also requires full recline until both four months and head control and must stop at attempted climbing. X7340, DKD85 and CDG12 document selectable swing directions and both adapter and four-D-cell power alternatives, each with a 25 lb ceiling; DKD85 also converts to a separate manual rocker capped at 25 lb. CDG12's exact instructions also require full recline until at least four months and independent head control, and end use sooner at attempted climbing. HBD71 and the four 3-in-1 models have their own power and operation limits. The four 3-in-1 manuals' 40 lb figure belongs to detached manual toddler-rocker modes, not their battery-powered swing. The eleven previously named swing plans each have a 25 lb ceiling and can end sooner at the model-specific developmental stop. X2535 is the eleventh of those plans: its own manual caps the powered swing at 25 lb for the separate adapter and four-D-cell arrangements; this number is a ceiling, not permission to continue after an earlier stop. G3048 adds the twelfth match: its exact manual requires four C cells, documents eight on-unit settings, and caps the swing at 25 lb; Mattel lists use from birth and a machine-washable pad, but the sources state no minimum weight or separate newborn insert. A light push starts the motion, and its active/climb-out stop can end use earlier. A weight filter is not readiness or safety permission, and does not override age, posture, restraint, floor placement or supervision instructions. CCL87, CBM08, BMF34 and BMF35 list separate 40 lb manual-rocker limits, but none meets a 41 lb manual-seat threshold. The higher number applies only to the detached manual toddler-rocker arrangement and carries its own restraint and self-entry/climb-out rules. No reviewed same-plan manual seat in this assessed library reaches a 41 lb threshold; this does not prove that no product exists elsewhere. Find the same manual-seat condition at 40 lb · Keep the movement choice and compare at 41 lb.
Mattel’s C4635 record supports a separate earlier battery swing with five local speeds, a from-birth listing, washable pad and 25 lb maximum; its manual requires four C cells and an earlier climb-out stop. At a 26 lb minimum, this C4635 swing plan is excluded even though it met the matching 25 lb threshold; it also needs four C cells, not the four D cells used by other earlier Fisher-Price examples. Review C4635’s exact battery, washable-pad and capacity evidence.
V4356 meets 25 lb, not 26 lb, in its own battery-swing plan
With powered swing, battery power, on-unit controls, the manufacturer’s from-birth listing, machine-washable pad and earlier-model inclusion held fixed, the V4356 plan meets a 25 lb minimum-capacity request: Mattel’s exact linked manual caps that swing at 25 lb. Raising only the threshold to 26 lb excludes V4356; its manual does not document a higher-capacity mode. Four D (LR20) alkaline cells are required and not included. This is a comparison of a published maximum, not an age or readiness recommendation, and the manual’s active/climb-out stop can end use earlier. Use only the restraint and exact assembly instructions supplied for the V4356; Mattel’s two linked V4356 sheets disagree on screw size, and their hardware must not be treated as interchangeable. Review V4356’s distinct operating plan, 25 lb limit and manual conflict · Find the same battery-swing conditions at 25 lb · Keep the other choices fixed and compare at 26 lb.
V1179 meets a 25 lb threshold, not 26 lb
V1179 is an earlier U.S. model and is included only when earlier models are allowed. Its two separately documented swing power arrangements each have a 25 lb maximum. At a 25 lb numeric threshold the model can match; this says nothing about an individual child's readiness, and posture or activity stop rules may end use sooner. The three linked V1179-labelled instruction editions are not interchangeable: check whether the specific seat has the 3-point or 5-point restraint and follow its corresponding posture guidance. Read the V1179 review · Find assessed plans at a 25 lb minimum with earlier models included.
At 26 lb, V1179 is excluded because both of its supported swing arrangements stop at 25 lb; plans with separate higher limits may remain only in their own modes. The two swing power plans do not create a higher-capacity setting. Check V1179’s exact-mode limits · Keep earlier models included and compare at 26 lb.
Manual-seat capacity is an upper stop, not a target
The I-Feel Rocker’s and Jolie Acorn family’s documented 20 lb ceilings match a 20 lb threshold but not a 21 lb request; six other earlier manual-capable records still match at 21. For Jolie, the official IS0107ES family manual's filename code 08079361050070 differs from the Acorn listing SKU 08079361150070, so check the physical label and applicable manual. A manual’s approximate age does not override its earlier developmental stop: the Jolie manual says not to use it once a child can sit up unassisted, and I-Feel has its own earlier stops. Compare I-Feel's manual and earlier stops, the Jolie Acorn assessment, and the distinct Fisher-Price BMF34 manual rocker plan.
